The Greensboro Historical Museum, Inc., a nonprofit membership organization, works in partnership with the City of Greensboro to support the museum. The Museum Corporation owns the physical collections on exhibition at the museum while the City of Greensboro provides substantial financial and staff support for the museum as a division of the Greensboro Public Library Department. Past estate gifts have provided for the naming of exhibition galleries and paid internship opportunities for future history professionals.
