"Angkor Wat is a reminder of our past glory when Cambodia was at its zenith and no other country could rule us. It was important for art and culture and at that time our leaders followed the four dharmas (teachings): compassion, forgiveness, consciousness, and fairness. Angkor Wat is on the flag so that we remember to follow these dharmas."
