Greensboro City Directories

        The GHM Archives collection of original city directories can be consulted in-person by scheduling an appointment with the Archivist.   
        The Greensboro Public Library (Main Branch, on Church Street, 2^nd Floor, N.C. Collection  317.56 G81) has a more complete set, which can be consulted during their hours of operation. 
        The only volume the Library does not have (which the Museum Archives does have)  is the 1879/80 directory.  That directory is available on this web site; please note, however, that the online versions do not include any of the graphic material – advertisements and pictures – available in the original.
        Below is a listing of the city directories held by GHM Archives.  Additional digital copies, of non-copyrighted volumes, will continue to be added in the future, so please check back.
